Crystal Ng RA, LEED AP, CPHC named one of Crain’s New York’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2021!
C+GA’s Director of Sustainability has been recognized for her innovative design solutions that contribute to more environmentally and socially responsible architecture.
“I like the affordable housing realm because you can impact more lives and design some things that will improve the quality of life for everyone,” Ng said. “That relates to sustainability, because if you develop better building materials, better mechanical systems, people can also thrive where they’re living.”
Crystal leads the firm’s Passive House / LEED work, providing healthy, resilient homes in predominately underserved communities. Her Passive House projects include Beach Green Dunes I in Far Rockaway, one of the largest certified Passive House Affordable Housing Developments, and Bronx developments at Third Avenue, 1080 Washington and Mapes Avenue.
Crystal often lends her expertise to community initiatives like Neighborhoods Now, a COVID-19 rapid-response communities initiative launched by the Urban Design Forum and Van Alen Institute.
