Field Trip to the Skyscraper Museum
C+GA took a field trip to The Skyscraper Museum in Battery Park City!
As a member of New York City Economic Development Corporation’s Mass Timber Studio, C+GA was especially interested in their current exhibition Tall Timber: The Future Cities in Wood. The exhibition explores the potential of this emerging system of building materials and the associated carbon cost savings.
We also enjoyed exploring the history and current state of tall buildings as objects of design, products of technology, sites of construction, and places of work or residence, both in NYC and in the global context.
