Partner Darby Curtis, AIA has been appointed to the AIA Academy of Architecture for Justice Knowledge Community Leadership Group.
Darby’s work on justice-informed design over the last 30 years has focused on publicly funded projects with nonprofits committed to serving those affected by the criminal justice system. Her belief in architecture’s ability to be a catalyst for positive change informs projects such as the Fulton Community Re-entry Center for Osborne Association, multiple projects for the Fortune Society including the Castle Gardens supportive and affordable community focused housing (pictured), and the Hopper Home halfway house for Women’s Prison Association.
