Working closely with the Municipal Art Society and the local Community Board, C+GA performed analysis and developed an alternative rezoning plan for the Greenpoint-Williamsburg waterfront. The analysis included massing schemes illustrating both the Department of City Planning’s and the Community’s rezoning proposals. The study allowed the Community and the Municipal Art Society to make recommendations to the City Council that helped to shape the adopted rezoning text, including forming the basis for an economic study of the proposed inclusionary (affordable) housing.
