On the ground floor of one of North America’s largest Passive House buildings, Park Avenue Green, the nonprofit organization Spaceworks occupies 4,300 SF of creative arts space, featuring 15 studios, an exhibition space, and community project space. Spaceworks builds and operates spaces for artists (particularly artists of color, LGBTQIA+ artists, disabled artists, and those living on low to modest incomes), cultural workers, creative entrepreneurs, and cultural organizations. Creating affordable studio spaces and a gallery visible from the street, Spaceworks supports the economic well-being and sustainability of the existing arts community.
