Partner Darby Curtis Accepts the ULI NY Award for Excellence in Development for Fulton Community Reentry Center

Fulton Community Reentry Center won the ULI New York 2026 Award for Excellence in Adaptive Reuse. Partner Darby Curtis accepted the honor at the 10th Annual ULI Awards Gala Dinner, alongside the project team.

The Fulton Center was selected for defining a new reentry housing model, turning a former minimum-security prison into an innovative, community-centered hub serving those impacted by the criminal justice system. Originally built as a Church House in 1907, this supportive residential facility incorporates trauma-informed design principles to provide a welcoming, safe environment for individuals over forty who are returning home from long-term incarceration. The Center offers 140 transitional reentry housing beds, as well as spaces to share meals, foster community, and hold classes, training sessions, and support groups.
